आत्मा न कभी मरती है, न जन्म लेती है।

श्लोक / Verse
अजो नित्यः शाश्वतोऽयं पुराणो न हन्यते हन्यमाने शरीरे ॥
भावार्थ
अर्थात
आत्मा न कभी जन्म लेती है और न मरती है; वह अजन्मा, नित्य, शाश्वत और पुरातन है; शरीर के मारे जाने पर भी वह मारी नहीं जाती।
मतलब
आत्मा न कभी जन्म लेती है और न मरती है। यह नित्य, अजर, अमर और शाश्वत है। शरीर नष्ट होता है, आत्मा नहीं।
इससे हमें यह सीख मिलती है कि
आत्मा अमर है, केवल शरीर बदलता है।
