आत्मा न मारती है, न मारी जा सकती है।
The soul neither kills nor is killed.
श्लोक / Verse
उभौ तौ न विजानीतो नायं हन्ति न हन्यते ॥
भावार्थ
अर्थात
जो व्यक्ति यह मानता है कि आत्मा मरती है, या हत्यारे को मारने वाला समझता है, वह दोनों ही मूर्ख हैं, क्योंकि आत्मा न मारने योग्य है, न मारी जाती है।
मतलब
जो इसे मारने वाला या मारा गया मानता है — दोनों ही अज्ञानी हैं। आत्मा न किसी को मारती है, न मारी जाती है।
इससे हमें यह सीख मिलती है कि
आत्मा अमर है — मृत्यु केवल शरीर की है।
