आत्मा अमर है।

The soul is imperishable and immutable.

श्लोक / Verse

वेदाविनाशिनं नित्यं य एनमजमव्ययम् ।
कथं स पुरुषः पार्थ कं घातयति हन्ति कम् ॥

भावार्थ

अर्थात

जो वेदों के अजर और अविनाशी रूप को जानता है, वह परम शाश्वत और अविनाशी है, ऐसे व्यक्ति को कौन मार सकता है, वह कैसे मारा जा सकता है?

मतलब

आत्मा नाशरहित, सदा रहने वाली, अजन्मा और अविनाशी है। ऐसा जानने वाला कोई भी व्यक्ति न किसी को मारता है और न किसी को मरता मानता है।

इससे हमें यह सीख मिलती है कि

आत्मा को कोई नहीं मार सकता, वह सदा अजर और अमर है।
