पापमेवाश्रयेदस्मान्हत्वैतानाततायिनः ॥
भावार्थ
अर्थात
हे जनार्दन! धृतराष्ट्र के पुत्रों को मारकर हमें क्या सुख मिलेगा? केवल पाप ही लगेगा।
मतलब
हे जनार्दन! हम धृतराष्ट्र के पुत्रों को मारकर कौन-सी प्रसन्नता पाएंगे? इससे तो पाप ही लगेगा।
इससे हमें यह सीख मिलती है कि
अपनों के विरुद्ध हिंसा सदैव अंतर्मन को दुख देती है।
