इच्छाओं से रहित मन ही योगी है।


A mind free from desires is a true yogi.

श्लोक / Verse

यदा विनियतं चित्तमात्मन्येवावतिष्ठते ।
निःस्पृहः सर्वकामेभ्यो युक्त इत्युच्यते तदा ॥

भावार्थ

अर्थात

जब व्यक्ति अपना चित्त पूरी तरह से नियंत्रित करता है और अपने आत्मा में स्थिर रहता है, बिना किसी इच्छाओं के, तब उसे 'युक्त' कहा जाता है।

मतलब

जब चित्त वश में होकर आत्मा में स्थित हो जाता है और व्यक्ति सभी कामनाओं से रहित हो जाता है, तब उसे योगयुक्त कहा जाता है।

इससे हमें यह सीख मिलती है कि

कामनाओं से ऊपर उठकर ही सच्चा योग संभव है।

Deeper Understanding

Meaning

When a person fully controls the mind and remains established in the self, free from desires, they are called “yukta” (united).

Explanation

One whose mind is disciplined and stable in the self, free from all desires, is called united with yoga.

This teaches us that

True yoga arises when the mind transcends all desires and attachments.
