हमारे कर्म भगवान के द्वारा तय होते हैं।

श्लोक / Verse
तस्य कर्तारमपि मां विद्ध्यकर्तारमव्ययम् ॥
भावार्थ
अर्थात
मैंने चार वर्णों को गुण और कर्म के आधार पर बनाया है। लेकिन, उनका कर्ता मैं ही हूं, अव्यय (अनंत) रूप में।
मतलब
मैंने चार वर्णों (जातियों) को उनके गुण और कर्म के आधार पर बनाया है। हालांकि वे काम करते हैं, परन्तु मैं ही उन सभी कार्यों का असली कर्ता हूं, जो कभी नष्ट नहीं होता।
इससे हमें यह सीख मिलती है कि
हमारे काम और भूमिका हमारे गुणों के आधार पर होते हैं, लेकिन असल में हम सब भगवान के द्वारा चलाए जाते हैं।
