जो खुद जैसा सबको माने, वही सच्चा इंसान है।


Feel others’ joys and sorrows as your own—that is true humanity.

श्लोक / Verse

आत्मौपम्येन सर्वत्र समं पश्यति योऽर्जुन ।
सुखं वा यदि वा दुःखं स योगी परमो मतः ॥

भावार्थ

अर्थात

जो व्यक्ति अपने समान ही सब प्राणियों के सुख-दुःख को देखता है, वह श्रेष्ठ योगी माना जाता है।

मतलब

जो इंसान दूसरों को भी खुद की तरह समझता है — जैसे उसे खुद दर्द या खुशी होती है, वैसे ही दूसरों को भी महसूस होता है — वो सच्चा और महान योगी है।

इससे हमें यह सीख मिलती है कि

दूसरों के दुख-सुख को समझना और वैसा ही महसूस करना सच्ची इंसानियत है।

Meaning

A true yogi regards others’ happiness and pain as equal to one’s own; this is the highest approach to yoga.

Explanation

One who sees others’ joys and sorrows as their own and feels empathy for all is regarded as the greatest yogi.

This teaches us that

Recognizing others as oneself is the essence of true compassion and yoga.
