आत्मा कभी नहीं मरती।

श्लोक / Verse
तथा शरीराणि विहाय जीर्णान्यन्यानि संयाति नवानि देही ॥
भावार्थ
अर्थात
जैसे मनुष्य पुराने वस्त्रों को त्यागकर नए वस्त्र पहनता है, वैसे ही आत्मा पुराने शरीर को त्यागकर नया शरीर धारण करती है।
मतलब
जैसे मनुष्य पुराने वस्त्रों को छोड़कर नए वस्त्र पहनता है, वैसे ही आत्मा पुराने शरीर को त्यागकर नया शरीर धारण करती है। आत्मा कभी नष्ट नहीं होती।
इससे हमें यह सीख मिलती है कि
आत्मा अमर है, केवल शरीर बदलता है।

Meaning
Just as a person discards worn-out garments and wears new ones, similarly the soul abandons old bodies and enters new ones.
Explanation
As humans change clothes, the soul leaves one body and takes on another. The soul never dies.
This teaches us that
The soul is immortal; it merely changes bodies like changing clothes.
