पहले जानो, फिर कर्म करो।

श्लोक / Verse

यावदेतान्निरीक्षेऽहं योद्धुकामानवस्थितान् ।
कैर्मया सह योद्धव्यमस्मिन्रणसमुद्यमे ॥

भावार्थ

अर्थात

जब तक मैं युद्ध के लिए इच्छुक और तैयार लोगों को नहीं देखता, तब तक मैं युद्ध में किट कर सकता हूं।

मतलब

जब तक मैं यह न देख लूं कि युद्ध में किससे लड़ना है, तब तक मैं युद्ध नहीं कर सकता।

इससे हमें यह सीख मिलती है कि

विचारपूर्वक किया गया निर्णय ही सच्चा कर्म है।

Deeper Understanding

Meaning

Until I see the warriors eager and ready for battle, I cannot engage in fighting in this battlefield.

Explanation

Arjuna says he cannot fight unless he clearly sees who the warriors are that he has to fight against in the battle.

This teaches us that

A decision made after careful thought and understanding is true action.
